Approximately 240 people attended the 1st Annual Afternoon of Hope Luncheon at the UGM Center for Women & Children in Coeur d’Alene to learn more about UGM’s approach to recovery and the breadth of services available. A delightful basket lunch was provided by Connie Spurlock and Crew, and the Honorable John T. Mitchell spoke about the role trauma plays in addiction and criminal behavior: "Unless the underlying trauma is addressed, all we do is treat and re-treat a woman's addiction." More than $20,000 was raised toward providing an all-around health and wellness program for residents.
