Christmas for the Homeless

banner_Christmas2013Makin’ a list. Checkin’ it twice…and here’s what we discovered. In order to best serve our clients and clearly communicate our holiday needs to the community, we needed to simplify, simplify, simplify.

If you’d like to help us spread the holiday cheer this Christmas, we’d love to have you. Here’s how you can help:

  1. Purchase gift cards ($10 & $25 only) – grocery stores, department stores, coffee shops, movie theaters, book stores, etc. Drop off at 1224 E Trent Ave. in Spokane or 196 W Haycraft Ave. in Coeur d’Alene.
  2. Put up a giving tree in your church or place of business. Call 509-535-8510 for more information.
  3. Shop for our top needs.
    • PJs, robes and slippers for women (especially XL – XXXL) and children (remember our teen boys at the Crisis Shelter)
    • Underwear, t-shirts and white, athletic socks for men.
  4. Christmas morning in a bag (Men’s Shelter only). Contact Dean Whisler for more information (509-532-3826).
  5. Volunteer. You can sign up to serve at our Christmas Eve Dinner beginning Tuesday, December 3 (call 509-535-8510) or call the specific shelter where you would like to volunteer for additional opportunities.
