Trish's Direct Supervisor, Angela, guides her through tasks on the computer.
Beth Randall couldn't be more positive about her company's partnership with Union Gospel Mission. As Director of Human Resources for Columbia Medical Associates (CMA), Beth placed Trish Zahn-Whalen from Women's Recovery at Anna Ogden Hall in a business practicum within her company. Trish spent the majority of her time transferring hard-copy medical records onto the computer. She appreciated the trust placed in her and found the environment to be very welcoming. "It helped me to see that I have a lot to contribute," Trish said.
Beth was excited about the practicum idea the minute she heard about it. "It is a priority for CMA to give back to
the community. This was a great experience for us. We were able to help others as they helped us. I would strongly encourage any other business to partner with UGM on this great program."
And to residents considering a practicum, Beth had this to say: "This is the dress rehearsal for your next step and will help you gain experiences you wouldn't be able to get any other way."
