Providing Hope (and Fun) for Women and Children

Jack Kendrick has a huge heart for helping those in need.

Following his wife’s death and a cancer diagnosis, he experienced hopelessness in life. A divine encounter restored his hope, and now, he sets out to give homeless women and children hope, too.

Jack has supported the Mission for more than 12 years. When he heard about plans for UGM in Coeur d’Alene, he wanted to get involved and generously funded the project. His investment made it possible to build the rescue side of the UGM Center for Women and Children, and he and his family continue to support its ongoing operation.

Above each door in the rescue center is the name of one of the strong, resourceful women from Jack’s heritage – great grandmothers, mother-in-law, aunts. And the building itself displays a plaque honoring the legacy of his late wife, Linda.

Jack continues to invest in the Center in his wife's memory and encourages friends and family to do the same.

Jack not only gives his treasure; he gives his time, as well. He and his family are all deeply involved with the work at the Center, and once a year, he likes to treat the whole group to a special outing..

Recently, he made possible an afternoon of fun at Triple Play. He and his family (children and grandchildren) joined the Center residents for bowling, laser tag, miniature golf, and more. As you can see, a great time was had by all.

Jack is an inspiration and encouragement to the women and children, as well as UGM staff and those in the Coeur d’Alene community.

Thank you, Jack, for making an impact in the lives of homeless women and children, giving them hope and helping them heal. You are a blessing to the ministry of UGM!
