Christ the Redeemer Church has been a long-time and faithful supporter of the Union Gospel Mission. Feeling called to reach its neighborhood, West Central, and beyond, Christ the Redeemer has partnered with UGM to bring kids to camp and care for the women and children at Anna Ogden Hall.
One of the first churches to get involved with UGM’s summer youth ministry, Christ the Redeemer brings a group of at-risk youth to camp for one week each summer. They extend the impact of camp throughout the year by inviting kids from their neighborhood to Wednesday “Kids Club,” a time to build relationships, have fun, and hear the gospel. At Anna Ogden Hall, church members give of both their time and treasure.
Brian Hoch, associate pastor, explained that CTR values the Mission as “a hands-on ministry with profound gospel intentionality.” He described the partnership as having a two-way benefit, giving church members an opportunity to look beyond themselves and be engaged in ministry and providing UGM the resources needed to care for women and children.
