Will work for the hungry
Caleb, 5, Cameron, 5, and Isaiah, 8, brought the money they earned doing chores around the house to help feed the hungry.
New Center for Women & Children
Because the whole community linked arms around a common goal, we were able to open the first long-term recovery program for women with children in Kootenai County. Over 300 people, including pastors, civic leaders and government officials, attended its dedication in August, and we welcomed our first guests in September.
Veterans Day
Students at Valley Christian School held their 21st annual special musical program to honor veterans at the Union Gospel Mission.
Thanksgiving
Generous gifts of food and labor helped to create a delicious holiday meal in a festive setting for over 1,100 people who might otherwise have gone without. Our sincere thanks to Spokane Public Facilities District, Centerplate, Staff Pro, Food Services of America, Cyrus O’Leary’s Pies, Franz Family Bakeries, URM Stores, Lexus of Spokane, Wheelabrator, Super One Foods, Longhorn Barbecue, Peirone Produce, East Valley High School Key Club, and all the amazing volunteers who served with such cheerful hearts!
