Danny Beard - Engage Work SeminarEight local business leaders recently participated in UGM’s Engage! seminar on how to keep a job and earn a promotion. They spoke to residents of the Men’s and Women’s LIFE Recovery programs on vital subjects like workplace communication, employer expectations, integrating faith in the workplace and conflict management.

Danny Beard, Vice-President at NBC Camps, addressed the subject of character, which he defined as “who you are in the dark.” Danny had participants pumped up and high-fiving each other as he explained that a positive attitude flows from a correct view of themselves: “God created you. You are a miracle. Live like that every day.”

A powerful motivational speaker and basketball coach, Danny said he loves being able to use his skills to help others. “We are not going to reach our full potential until we learn to serve others.”
