Volunteers Providing Welcome
UGM’s volunteer case managers stand on the frontlines of ministry, offering listening ears and wise counsel to men and women in crisis.
On May 31, UGM held a special Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at the Lincoln Center. While the primary purpose was to say thanks, we also wanted the volunteers to see the big picture of what they’re helping to make possible.
Front office volunteer Cathrine Thiel said the dinner was a great encouragement: “As a volunteer, it’s easy to get tunnel vision and forget how much of an impact we are having as we serve the ministry. Hearing the stories from the residents of how they have been transformed physically, emotionally and spiritually was a blessed reminder that God is at work here.”
Six Full Circle Awards were given to UGM Recovery program graduates who are now volunteering as God-dependent, contributing members of society.
