Kimmi (Halbrook) Lane arrived at the UGM Crisis Shelter nine years ago as a guest. Little did she know it was the beginning of a journey that would lead her to help homeless women here at UGM.

Matt Lewis works in a homeless shelter because he loves to be with people who appear broken, hopeless or weak. He relishes the chance to share the power and hope of our identity in Christ and watch God's love transform others for his Kingdom.

The UGM board agreed to buy the original building with only $28 in the treasury, believing that God would provide through his people in Spokane. For the next 66 years and counting, He's come through.

They brush their teeth, do their homework, do chores, and play just like any other kid. The only difference...they're living in a homeless shelter.
